Its start during the WFH exodus with COVID

Thilak, the founder, was on holidays in Malaysia when COVID started to grind things to a halt. He was unable to fly back to Australia and needed to support his team back in Melbourne. Long hours of remote work meant weary palms and aching wrists.

He loved the flat, comfortable feel of a laptop keyboard and wanted to replicate that experience with a traditional full-size keyboard. That search led him back home — to wood.

Meet the founder

Wrist Assist began as an experiment during the COVID lockdowns — to replicate the comfort and flat-lay experience of a laptop keyboard, but with the full key count of a traditional keyboard.

Tinkering around and with the help of Mr. Ramasundram — the founder's father, a second-generation woodworker and entrepreneur — a prototype was built from premium Australian hardwood. And now the journey begins.
